Dryers can be divided into two types: industrial and household. Industrial dryers are also called drying equipment or drying machines, while household dryers are one type of laundry equipment. They are generally used after washing and dehydration to remove moisture from clothing and other textiles.
Dryers have several modes, including belt drying, drum drying, box drying, and tower drying. Heat sources include coal, electricity, gas, and others. During the drying process, materials may be dried by hot-air flow or by radiation. In hot-air drum drying, the hot airflow moves from the rear to the front, fully contacting the material and making full use of heat transfer through conduction, convection, and radiation. Heat is directly transferred to the material, causing moisture in the material to continuously evaporate inside the drum. The air-draft device at the feeding inlet draws out a large amount of moisture and humid airflow, preventing secondary pollution caused by dust emission. The material is moved forward through internal spiral stirring, scattering, and lifting plates, completing the entire drying process. Countercurrent heat transfer removes moisture and helps avoid repeated drying.
